still-not-famous:

Oh Loki. Your pain troubles me so.

It’s so clear from this simple statement how he’s nothing more than the second child. The more neglected sibling, the younger weaker one. Overshadowed by Thor, cast aside because he has more brains than braun. Then to make things even worse he isn’t even related at all; his whole life was a lie. Everything he ever believed in came crashing down and the people he loved had kept such a huge secret from him. That’s why he does the things he does. To prove that Thor isn’t the only one who can be strong, powerful, act on impulse. He went about it totally the wrong way but at the end of the day all he was trying to prove was that he was just as good as Thor. He wants acceptance. He wants to be worthy of the love he thinks he deserves.

Not to mention the fact that he discovered he came from a race that the Aesir were taught to fear and hate. He realizes that he is the son of a monster.

Poor Loki. He may be teetering on pure insanity but I still feel for him. He’s so lonely.
